Dear Neighbor,
A big part of neighborhood safety is simply getting people out of their house
and meeting their neighbors. National Night Out is an annual event held throughout
the country with the goal of bringing neighbors together in recognition of what makes a
safe community and thanking those that are on the front line of this important work.
Creston Neighborhood Association is proud to host Neighborhood Night Out
once again this year at Briggs Park, Tuesday, August 2, 2016!
The event is meant to increase awareness about CNA’s neighborhood
organizing work, GRPD police programs in communities, public safety, drug
prevention, neighborhood watch, and other anti-crime efforts. Neighborhood Night
Out is a celebration intended to bring the whole community together.
At this annual event CNA has hosted many wonderful community attractions in
years past that include: face painting, food and refreshments, a Monarch butterfly
release in our butterfly garden, toy plane demonstrations, local musicians and
puppeteers, a bounce house, and more. We are excited to announce a generous
donation from local business Catered Creations that covers our food needs for this
event. Now that our food needs are covered for this well-established community event,
we are inviting local businesses to sponsor our entertainment attractions for the
evening. Sponsorship opportunities include:
â— Our main attraction, a community butterfly release in our Briggs Park
Butterfly garden. A donation of $400 will provide native butterflies for
local children to release at the event. Be our Butterfly Buddy for this
event!
â— Local Neighbor Kevin Kammeraad and his band of puppets are
guaranteed to entertain at ages from 1 to 102. A donation of $225 will
bring this original talent to our community, sure to entertain. Be our
Puppet Pal for the evening!
â— The Porters are a popular West Michigan family band that have offered
to provide our music entertainment. Be our Music Maker for a
donation of $160!
â— To support all other event costs, please consider becoming a
Community Connector for just $50!
Your tax deductible donation to our event for the enrichment of our community is
greatly appreciated and noticed throughout the event and CNA community. Thank you
