Mission: Creston Cares facilitates community among Creston residents to simply lift up families in urgent need through the contributions of neighbors and local businesses.

Creston Cares was born out of the unmet need for easily accessible and fast-acting aid during times of struggle for Creston residents and operates on a foundation of deep trust. Any Creston resident that expresses a need and courageously asks for assistance will be supported to the best of the program’s ability. Through neighbors helping neighbors, Creston Cares will foster a community where all people can thrive. 

Creston Cares is divided into two primary outreach programs:

Creston Cares Adopt-a-Family supports 10-15 families at the end of each year who are facing particularly difficult challenges and need a helping hand in the hopes to get them back on their feet. Families are encouraged to apply for assistance and create a wish list that their neighbors come together to provide. Supporting funds will be used to provide clothing, food assistance, gas cards, necessities and children’s books and toys to these deserving families.
